It all started out with our vision that building a community of merchants, e-commerce technologists, marketing and technology agencies, and logistics companies can benefit the whole e-commerce ecosystem. In the last few years, we continually kept striving for that vision with initiatives that empowered retailers in the region. That includes two consecutive Meet Magento Vietnam event in 2015 and 2016. In 2017, we organized a serial of e-commerce events across Asia with our partners including Paypal, dotmailer, Magento in Singapore; Kanmo Retail Group, Sitecore in Indonesia; Shopify Plus, Lumos helmet, Floship in Hong Kong.
During these events, we feel the potential of e-commerce across the region has grown tremendously. Retailers and wholesalers are raving to learn and willing to digitally transform their traditional platform to benefit their customers even more. That’s is the reason why we decided to organize Meet Magento Asia in Bangkok on November 8th, 2018. This marks the debut of a regional edition of this well-regarded series of conference that has over 40 editions annually in Asia, Americas, and Europe.
Asia is one of the most important e-commerce market in the world. According to research firm Statistica’s report Asia contributed for almost 80% of all B2B e-commerce volume worldwide in 2017 and Southeast Asia is proving itself to be an attractive B2B procurement market in the region. The B2C e-commerce market also shows its potential with annual growth rate expected to be over 11%, resulting in a market volume exceeding 1 trillion US dollar by 2022.
What could you expect from Meet Magento Asia?
This year’s Meet Magento Asia will cover a wide range of topics from omnichannel strategy, B2B online commerce, payment, and many more. Online shopping has permeated modern culture, and with e-commerce becoming an integral part of everyone’s daily lives, much of this year’s event will focus on customer experience, highlighting new technologies and marketing methods, best practices, optimizing customer engagement and lifetime value.
The conference introduces business and technical tracks focused on the needs of the different attendees.
