SmartOSC’s CEO Thai Son Nguyen Accepted into Forbes Business Council

Forbes Business Council Is an Invitation-Only Community for Successful Business Owners and Leaders.

Vietnam, 29th December, 2022 — Thai Son Nguyen, CEO and Co-founder of SmartOSC, an award-winning eCommerce agency, has been accepted into the Forbes Business Council, the foremost growth and networking organization for successful business owners and leaders worldwide.

Thai Son Nguyen was vetted and selected by a review committee based on the depth and diversity of his experience. Criteria for acceptance include a track record of successfully impacting business growth metrics, as well as personal and professional achievements and honours.

Thai Son Nguyen’s customer-centric mindset has led to deals and award-winning projects with world-famous brands like SpaceX, ASUS and Toshiba, alongside regional giants like Korean ride-hailing firm BAEMIN and Independent Hardware Group, the largest independent hardware wholesaler in Australia. SmartOSC also quickly opens up local entities in competitive markets such as Thailand, Singapore, Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Australia, the US, and the UK despite the pandemic and waves of tech layoffs, with no employee being put off.

“We are honoured to welcome Thai Son Nguyen into the community,” said Scott Gerber, founder of Forbes Councils, the collective that includes Forbes Business Council. “Our mission with Forbes Councils is to bring together proven leaders from every industry, creating a curated, social capital-driven network that helps every member grow professionally and make an even greater impact on the business world."

“I am delighted to be joining the Forbes Business Council for 2023” Thai Son said. “As a tech CEO with a strong commitment to developing people and their skills, participating in the Forbes Business Council provides me with a platform to connect with a sounding board of peers, as well as access to leading practices crucial to SmartOSC’s expertise to deliver greater results.”

Thai Son is also currently the vice-chairman of the Vietnam-Australia Business Council (VABC) and was also formerly the President of Asia for the Meet Magento Association, the international association representing the Magento (now Adobe Commerce) community in 30 countries worldwide. In 2022, he was named a Gold winner at the 19th Annual Stevie International Business Awards. Thai Son was the only Vietnamese person to obtain an Entrepreneur Award in the year and the only entrepreneur to win Gold in the Computer Services category.

Modern enterprises operate in an increasingly complex environment where scale, speed and flexibility are needed to drive growth. As an accepted member of the Council with nearly 20 years of leadership experience, Thai Son Nguyen will unlock opportunities for SmartOSC clients to seamlessly grow at scale across APAC while creating long-term value for all stakeholders. Leveraging the global network of Forbes, Thai Son Nguyen will also bring the power of the community and their collective expertise to stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving business and tech markets.
