Infrastructure improvements

Adobe Commerce has made quite a lot of improvements to the quality of the framework and function areas as followed:

  • Customer Account
  • Catalog
  • CMS
  • OMS
  • Import/ Export
  • Promotions and Targeting
  • Cart and Checkout
  • B2B
  • Staging and Preview

Platform Quality

A huge number of platform quality fixes are introduced, including:

  • Faster process: Decreased indexing time for Product Price and Catalog Rules. Merchants can now exclude a website from a customer group/ shared catalog. This helps reduce the number of records for indexing and improves indexing times.
  • More agility: An expansion of the GraphQL API to cover gift registries and more B2B functionality.
  • A new PayPal Pay Later payment option: Instead of making customers paying the full amount at the time of purchase, the native PayPal integration can boost sales by allowing shoppers to pay for an order in bi-weekly installments.

Live Search

Live Search powered by Adobe Sensei is promised to deliver intuitive search experiences thanks to artificial intelligence and machine-learning algorithms. These features can perform a deep analysis of aggregated visitor data, which helps business owners to build an online profile of their customers and set up marketing campaigns accordingly.

Security

Magento 2.4.3 release resolves several security issues and introduces many enhancements such as

  • The ReCAPTCHA security expansion to the web-API in order to protect against spam and misuse.
  • The addition of built-in web-API rate-limiting to shield the webstore from any DDOS attacks.
  • A new Composer plug-in to prevent Dependency Confusion.

B2B

Using Magento 2.4.3 helps business owners utilize the lasted improvements from Magento B2B v1.3.2. The main highlights are:

  • Automated emails to expired and soon-to-expire negotiable quotes.
  • Users can edit and update customer custom attribute values.
  • Administrators with restricted accounts that include only website-level privileges can now create a company that uses a different currency than the website.

Other Q3 updates

Progressive Web Applications

PWA Studio 11 enables shoppers to easily save and track items by adding products to their wishlist directly from category pages and the cart page. They make purchasing from a wishlist so simple now by enabling “add-to-cart” directly from a wishlist. These improvements greatly encourage conversion on our customers’ sites.

Adobe Commerce also introduces the PWA Studio user interface (UI) kit built in Adobe XD. Optimized with pre-configured assets, symbols, and templates for creating intuitive, mobile-first site experiences. Access the kit, its documentation, and tutorials HERE.

Also, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) has released a new headless extension allowing AEM content fragments to be leveraged across the PWA Studio storefront. This extension enables content managers to manage with AEM’s powerful tools while also enriching your PWA storefront with additional content-led elements.

For instance, products having detailed information pages can be upgraded by adding merchandising content such as testimonials and tutorial videos so that it can help customers contextualize the product’s highlights, uses, features and benefits.

Upgrade Compatibility Tool

Adobe Commerce has upgraded its compatibility tool to improve its usability and workflow. It enables merchants to:

  • Detect and validate core file modifications.
  • Export the report in a .json file.
  • Validate Vendor Bundled Extensions (VBEs) like Vertex and dotdigital.
  • View error codes to help identify and resolve issues.
