SmartOSC Engages at Manila Tech Summit 2025
Manila, August 28, 2025 – SmartOSC proudly participated in the prestigious Manila Tech Summit 2025, Asia’s leading fintech and digital innovation forum, engaging with over 1,300 delegates across more than 300 organizations, including senior policymakers, fintech leaders, regulators, and innovators from nations such as Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, the UK, the US, Australia, and Hong Kong.

Organized by FinTech Alliance.PH – a not-for-profit industry association representing over 130 corporate members responsible for more than 95% of the Philippines’ digital retail transactions – the Manila Tech Summit is a pivotal platform for driving dialogue on inclusive finance and resilient digital transformation in Southeast Asia.
It focused on the theme “Forging a New Global Order: Risks and Opportunities Redefined“, featuring high-impact discussions around geopolitical fragmentation, technological disruption (AI, quantum computing, digital currency), sustainable finance, smart governance, and consumer trust.

Mr. Lito Villanueva – Founding Chairman of FinTech Alliance.PH and Executive Vice President & Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer at RCBC, emphasized the importance of decisive leadership in fintech:
“The Philippine fintech sector has made significant headwinds in recent years, marked by the mainstream adoption of digital payments and the expansion of financial inclusion. We are now at another crossroads, where understanding global contexts and defining the right strategies will be critical to steering the sector toward new and global heights.”
For SmartOSC, this message resonated strongly. The Philippines’ experience – both its breakthroughs and its growing pains – offers valuable lessons for the wider region, showing that leadership is defined not only by achievements but also by the capacity to adapt and improve.
The Summit also gave SmartOSC a meaningful chance to engage with regional fintech partners and regulators, forging alliances that cross borders. These dialogues are vital for exchanging perspectives, strengthening collaboration, and shaping a more inclusive, future-ready digital ecosystem.
