SmartOSC x Avalanche: Vietnamese Fine Art Is Now Moving On-Chain
March 2026 — Vietnamese fine art has long faced challenges in ownership transparency, copyright protection, and market accessibility. Fragmented records and limited verification mechanisms have made it difficult to establish clear provenance and protect the rights of artists.
In response, SmartOSC is developing a Vietnamese Fine Art Copyright Protection Ecosystem, built on Avalanche, to connect the full lifecycle of artworks from authentication and digitization to trading and exhibition.

Strengthening Copyright and Provenance
At the core of the ecosystem is the application of blockchain technology to enhance transparency and traceability.
Artworks within the platform can be minted as NFTs, enabling the creation of a verifiable on-chain record of ownership and transaction history. This approach supports more consistent provenance tracking and helps reduce risks associated with forgery and ownership disputes.
Connecting the Art Lifecycle
The ecosystem is designed to integrate multiple components into a unified platform, including:
- An Authentication Center for verifying and digitizing artworks
- A Digital Gallery for online showcasing
- A Marketplace to facilitate transactions
- Virtual and physical exhibitions connecting online and offline experiences
- Wallet integration for managing digital ownership
Together, these components aim to support a more structured and transparent approach to managing artworks across their lifecycle.
Expanding Access and Value
In addition to improving transparency, the platform explores new models for participation and value creation. These features are designed to improve accessibility while supporting more sustainable economic opportunities for artists and collectors.
- NFT-based copyright representation
- Fractional ownership, enabling shared access to high-value artworks
- Automated royalty mechanisms, allowing artists to receive a share from secondary transactions
Moreover, the ecosystem is designed to support broader market access while rooted in Vietnam’s fine art landscape. By leveraging digital infrastructure, the platform enables artists and collectors to engage with both domestic and international audiences in a more flexible and continuous manner.
Initial Implementation with Artist Cong Quoc Ha
The first implementation of the ecosystem has been developed in collaboration with Vietnamese artist Cong Quoc Ha. The initial exhibition recorded a total artwork value exceeding $300,000, providing an early indication of market interest and practical applicability.

Built on Avalanche Infrastructure
The platform is being developed on Avalanche, leveraging its capabilities in low transaction costs, high throughput, and fast finality to support blockchain-based applications.
This approach aligns with the broader direction of applying blockchain to real-world assets, including fine art.
Toward a More Transparent Art Ecosystem
This initiative reflects an ongoing effort to build a more transparent and structured infrastructure for art ownership and transactions.
By combining technology with domain expertise, SmartOSC aims to contribute to the long-term preservation of artistic value while enabling new ways for artworks to be accessed, managed, and exchanged.
